The idea that I would like to explore comes from a yearning to make a piece of work that would impact on an audience by completely immersing them within a mesmerising and lasting experience.

I have over time moved from figurative painting to combining painting with new mediums since I first used photography with painting in my degree show in 1996. More recently I have been interested in devloping the subjectivity of my practice, that is to say, the way in which I portray people and communities to another level by articulating what I do through a new and alternative visual language....
